Did you know that every year, food waste and losses generate about 5 times more CO2 than aviation? What can we do to minimise this and make the food production and logistics chains more sustainable?

Air is an abundant resource that can turn into a range of solutions!

At Air Liquide, we have a long experience working with air molecules, separating and capturing them and then turning them into natural preservatives and cooling agents.

In this FIT we will be talking about modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and how this can extend product shelf life without using chemicals. We will also cover the basics of cryogenic freezing since this is a way to preserve food for a longer time and therefore limit waste. Freezing using natural molecules such as nitrogen or recycled CO2 is extremely quick, powerful and efficient.

At this occasion, we would also like to present our Green Origin offer, the assurance that the gas that we supply is produced and distributed in a sustainable way.

Warm welcome!
