An International Conference on Biosolutions:

Join us to explore how we can unlock the potential to build a thriving biosolutions industry across Europe

Biosolutions represent a key driver in the green transition, with international forecasts predicting substantial growth in this sector. Denmark is actively engaged in European initiatives.

This conference brings together leading experts and participants from the biosolutions industry, providing valuable insights into the current state of the sector from both Danish and European perspectives.

Do not miss the chance to learn why multinational companies, along with public and private investors, are eager to invest in this field.

The event will also explore the challenges and opportunities for business growth within the industry.

What are biosolutions?

Biosolutions have a long history, with traditional processes like fermentation for cheese and bread production dating back thousands of years.

However, recent technological advancements have significantly expanded their potential.

Today, the term 'biosolutions' encompasses products and services that merge biology and technology, aiming to drive the green transition forward.

By harnessing the power of enzymes, microorganisms, bacterial cultures, yeast, and other biological tools, biosolutions contribute to reducing environmental and climate impacts.

State of the industry with Sofie Carsten Nielsen

Gain insights into the future perspectives of biosolutions with Director. DI Biosolutions, European Biosolutions Coalition, Sofie Carsten Nielsen.

During a fireside chat, you will get the latest insights on the startup and scaleup landscape from the Danish Technological Institute as well as Food & Bio Cluster Denmark. What are the pitfalls, where are the opportunities?

Science, research & development

Explore current research and explore opportunities for development, testing, and production through compelling company case studies.

Among the speakers, you will meet Morten Andersen from Nordic microbes, whose work was recently recognized by Danish politicians for its potential in biosolutions for the agricultural sector, highlighting how microbes can benefit both farmers and the environment.

Additionally, Henrik Busch-Larsen, CEO of Algiecel, will discuss the industry's challenges and opportunities. Representatives from Ovodan Biotech will also share their perspectives on prioritizing biosolutions as a new business avenue.

Discussions and panel debates

Scaling your biosolutions business presents significant challenges, from navigating complex regulations to managing substantial equipment demands.

At the conference, you will meet Andreas Worberg, CCO of Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability, who will provide expert knowledge on how to scale your company and understand European possibilities from e.g. Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant.

Engage with the investor panel on the future of biotech and life sciences, particularly the critical role of public funding through the lens of EIFO and how to best mix it with private investments e.g. from Nordic Foodtech VC.

Biosolutions are the future, so be part of shaping it alongside leading companies.
