The workshop focuses on how organic waste can be optimally utilized from a circular bioecoomic perspective and barriers that may hider it as regulatory framework.

CBIO - Centre for Circular Bioeconomy - in collaboration with Food & Bio Cluster Denmark - invites everyone with an interest in industrial organic waste streams to participate in this workshop that will explore how organic waste can be optimally utilized from a circular bioecoomy perspective.

The aim of the day is to gain a deeper uderstanding of the types of organic waste streams in Denmark, both in term of quantity and quality, as well as how they are utilized today.

We will examine the sustainability of current utilization methods and identify the barriers that may hinder the optimal use of these waste streams. These barriers may be regulatory, economic, environmental, or safety-related, and in this context, we will also investigate how the current regulatory framework supports or limits the safe utilizatio of organic waste in terms of human and environmental health.
