PROGRAM

13.00-13.15: Pitch by Andries Temme, Researcher Biobased Economy, Wageningen University & Research

There is a growing desire among the European population to embrace a more plant-based protein diet. While this dietary transformation holds tremendous potential, it also presents significant challenges. Balancing the need for increased yields with the maintenance of superior nutritional attributes poses a complex puzzle that requires innovative solutions and a comprehensive understanding of the intricate relationships affecting desired crop characteristics.

For the key European leguminous crops pea and fababean, understanding the effects of crop genetics, environment and field management on both yield and quality becomes essential for producers and downstream food applications.

13.15-13.30: questions, inputs ect.

NB: The pitch session will be recorded and made available online at Plant2Food on WorldLabs.

Do you want to pitch your idea or challenge?

All pitch sessions are 30 minutes with a 15 minute pitch from a company or researcher followed by 15 minutes for questions and input from the audience.
