Throughout the workshop we are going to collaborate on identifying and addressing the challenges and bringing on the solutions required for developing a strong plant-based food value chain in Denmark.

At the workshop you are going to meet with more than 200 other key stakeholders sharing a vision of making Denmark a global leader in plant-based food production, while contributing to reducing global greenhouse gas emissions and achieving environmental, social and economic sustainability.

Throughout the workshop we are going to collaborate on identifying and addressing the challenges and bringing on the solutions required for developing a strong plant-based food value chain in Denmark.

09.00 Welcome and introduction to the program
09.10 Vision and goals for plant-based food production in Denmark

09.30 Developing the plant-based food value chain

Share your experiences, get valuable insights and join forces with other key stakeholders to build a strong plant-based food value chain in Denmark. Focus is on barriers and challenges within primary production, value creation and consumer uptake, and how to assess and ensure environmental, social and economic sustainability.

10.30 From farmers to consumers – panel debate on connecting the stages of the plant-based food value chain

Following an example on how to successfully connect the value chain a panel will debate central questions on how to make the plant-based food value chain work.

11.15 Addressing the challenges across the plant-based food value chain

Contribute to identifying the major challenges across the plant-based food value chain for whole foods, processed foods and hybrid foods. Discuss which challenges are the most important to address, and what are the relevant drivers and measures for ensuring a strong and well-connected plant-based food value chain in Denmark.

Circulate to other groups to listen in on their work and ask questions followed by recollecting what was presented back in own group.

13.50 Bringing on the solutions for the plant-based food value chain

Collaborate on creating concrete solutions to the most important challenges for the plant-based food value chain in Denmark. Discuss how to provide financing and create the best environment for supporting business development and commercialization. Circulate to other groups to listen in on their work and ask questions followed by recollecting what was presented back in own group.

15.50 Building an action plan together

Collaborate on completing an action plan for developing the plant-based food value chain in Denmark.

16.30 Wrap-up, next steps and networking


The workshop will be facilitated by Implement Consulting Group and feature a panel debate with Troels Toft (SEGES), Henrik Lund (Naturli), Birgitte Skadhauge (Carlsberg), Esben Laulund (Chr. Hansen), Anna Haldrup (KU-FOOD) and Claus Primdahl Sørensen (Danmarks Grønne Investeringsfond)
