In this webinar we will be focusing on process technology for upcycling of vegetable food waste into functional proteins, and specifically the case of the Pro-Enrich project where Danish Technological Institute and GEA Westfalia have developed processes for extraction of functional protein from rapeseed meal.

In this webinar CHIMAR Hellas who provide state-of-the-art binder technology to wood-based panel industries in any part of the world share their experience in replacing petrochemically derived ingredients with bio-based alternatives - in this case protein extracted from rapeseed meal by the Danish Technological Institute.

Program

10.00 Welcome and introduction to the Pro-Enrich project – Louise Johnson, Food & Bio Cluster Denmark

10.10 Upscaling technology for extraction and separation of rapeseed protein from rapeseed cake – Angelica Tamayo Tenorio, Danish Technological Institute

10.25 Q&A

10.35 Adhesives from rapeseed protein – Eleftheria Athanassiadou & Sophia Tsiantzi, CHIMAR
