Plant-based Innovation Tour to California

Join us for the first Innovation Tour in 2023, which goes to California with focus on the plant-based food industry and sustainable food technologies e.g. precision fermentation.  You will learn, get inspired, exchange experiences, and take the first steps towards creating partnerships and innovation collaboration with US key stakeholders. 

One of Food & Bio Cluster Denmark's key areas is to contribute to the development of more sustainable and healthy food to feed a growing population. With a strong position as an agri-food country with world class research and global companies, Denmark is well positioned to develop emerging technologies within plant-based food and sustainable processing methods. This provides a major economic opportunity for Denmark with a large global demand.

Thanks to the Silicon Valley ecosystem, the US is much faster in bringing new university-based technologies and companies to market. On the other hand, Denmark has world class research and competencies that is of interest in the US. To bridge the two ecosystems and enhance innovation collaboration, Copenhagen University, The Danish Technology Institute and Food & Bio Cluster Denmark together with the assistance of the Danish Innovation Center in Silicon Valley are organising this Innovation Tour.

Research, Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship - what is in for your company?

By participating you will be part of:

• Research collaborations: Establish and strengthen collaborations between the best Danish and US academia will contribute to develop innovative and sustainable food solutions of the future
• Commercialisation: Build network with US corporate labs and industry for enhanced research commercialization between innovative companies in Denmark and the US.
• Entrepreneurship: Obtain insights on the best business models for bringing new
  technologies and companies to market

Global Insight 

Given the short time till the Innovation Tour, we  will organise a Global Insight after the return, giving you knowledge and inspiration from the Innovation Tour. The Global Insigth will be online and expected to take place in late March.

Travelling costs

You have to cover your own travelling costs: Flights, hotel etc.
