MPowerBio SME Bootcamp: Attract capital to grow and develop your business

The MPowerBIO project and BioeconomyVentures are organizing a 2-day intensive bootcamp on the 24th and 25th of August 2022 for SMEs in the Agrifood, Agritech, Food, Feed, Nutrition and Food Wastes sectors, in order to empower them with the particular set of skills that private investors are looking for in the companies they finance. The Bootcamp will take place on-site at E-Village, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. 

Starting in the afternoon, the first day of the bootcamp will include a practical training on how to present themselves in front of an investor and a Pitching Academy, whereby each SME will pitch their project for 5 minutes and get valuable feedback from experts.  

The second day is dedicated to the Pitching Competition, during which the SMEs will have the opportunity to pitch their “just polished” ideas in front of a jury of experts in the field. Among others the jury will consist of Micael Simonsson, Director Processing Development at Tetra Pak.

The winners, the best 3 pitches of the competition, will be awarded a ticket to the MPowerBIO Final Pitching Competition “TechTour Bioeconomy 2022”, which will be held on 5th October,2022 in Wuppertal, Germany, along with their travelling expenses (up to 250 EUR per project). There, they will pitch to active investors in the bioeconomy sector, be assessed by the Panel of Experts, personally meet with investors/ corporates and network with the key players in the field.
